Jane & Joseph, September 22

We had the great pleasure of photographing the wedding celebration of Jane & Joseph this past weekend and what a celebration it was! We experienced two tea ceremonies, a lion dance, new games we've never seen before and of course a great party! The reception took place at the Westin Hotel in Edmonton and everything was first class. Thanks Jane and Joseph for allowing us to be part of your celebration. Hope you enjoy your time in Greece. Here are a few sneak pictures from your day...enjoy!

Amanda & Brian's Wedding, September 8th, 2007

Wow!!! We shot Amanda and Brian's wedding this past Saturday...a real cowboy wedding and what a great day it was! Amanda's mom had the ceremony in her back yard out at their farm and they did an amazing job with the decorations. The weather started out great but by the time the ceremony started it was touch and go with the rain...luckily it did not start to really come down until just after the ceremony. The reception was really fun...Brian made a deal with Mike McGuire from CISN Country Radio to be the DJ at their wedding. Brian made a pledge to the Stollery Children's Hospital with the deal that Mike would come out to DJ their wedding. Mike did a great job although he did hijack our camera in order to see us out on the dance floor...Mike soon realized that was a BIG mistake when he saw me try to break a move and I was asked to please stop dancing :) Thanks to everybody for treating us just like one of the guests...we had a great time! Here are a few sneak pictures from the wedding day and a few pictures from the e-session we shot just before we left for Vancouver a few weeks back, we hope you enjoy.

Karmen & Travers, Folding Mountain Resort, September 1, 2007

On Saturday, September 1st, on my way home from shooting on Vancouver Island I stopped at Folding Mountain Resort in Alberta which is located between Jasper and Hinton to photograph the wedding celebration of Karmen & Travers. What an amazing day!! Karmen and Travers opted for an outdoor wedding...always a risky proposition in Alberta. The day before the wedding it was pouring rain and it looked a little scary for Saturday...but the weather turned out to be absolutely beautiful with hardly a cloud in the sky. Travers mom has an amazing cabin at Folding Mountain Resort where the ceremony took place in the back yard. Everybody did a fantastic job decorating especially when you consider the weather the day before. Like the weather the ceremony was beautiful. One of my favourite parts of my job is the opportunity I get to meet some really great people...Karmen and Travers family and friends are absolutely amazing! I had so much fun with everybody. After the ceremony we went to a nearby lake to take a few pictures and Travers brother grabbed one of my camera's and took a shot of me knee deep in the lake taking pictures of the bride and groom. We had a wonderful dinner at a place called Overlander Resort and then we headed back to the cabin for the cake cutting, dancing and celebrations! I witnessed a tradition I've never seen before with the male siblings of the groom performing a dance with unique coloured socks...very funny! Thanks again to everybody for an amazing experience. A special thanks to Shahin for using his jacket as a sun blocker for the family pictures (see the last picture)...Next time I see you I'll get you that Gin & Tonic :) Hope you enjoy the few sneak pictures below.
